Alright it’s Sunday; the close of the weekend and J.D.I. Services, Inc. is still on the grind….  today we are helping out a newly referred client…..  Our Lead Service Technician David is on-site in the unicorporated Leyden Township area servicing & repairing this client’s 2006 Ford Focus this afternoon.
She came to us for a thorough vehicle inspection & 2nd opinion AFTER she almost got ripped off by a shyster, so-called “Mechanic” who tried to pull a fast one on her by diagnosing her car with expensive UNNESCESSARY repairs.  Good thing she was skeptical & began asking friends & neighbors about the possible legitimacy of this diagnosis & whether she should get a 2nd opinon-  they in turn referred her to us.  
So, after fully inspecting the entire vehicle, Our Lead Service Tech. David uncovered this “Mechanic’s” complete misdiagnosis; & a clear case of ‘Repair Estimate Inflation’. 
David has discovered that all she really needed was the inner & outer tie rods & a set of brakes.  He also recommended a full tune-up because the car was running quite rough and not up to par, as it should be.  After he explained the real repairs she needed & physically showed her the damaged parts on her car, she gave him the OK to complete all of his recommended repairs.  It took him about 2 hours to replace her inner & outer tie rods, the front brakes & give the car a tune-up; & now her Focus driving smoothly & runs softer.  After the repairs were finished & she test drove her car & she said that she is extremely grateful that Dave has literally saved her $479.00 in unnecessary car repairs…..   just by being who HE IS. 
This is one of the many reasons why his client’s return to him time & time again when they’re in need of vehicle repairs & services; and  why they trust him enough to refer their friends, family & neighbors to him.  Proud to be working with someone who has integrity &  intelligence, & is so passionate about his work!
