As we gather round the dinner table on this cold Thanksgiving looking at our family, friends & loved ones…   let’s pray for those who are homeless- who have no “home” or dinner to share with others….   pray for those who are spending their holidays in a hospital ICU  fighting for their lives-  who may or may not ever see “home” again….    Pray for those who are struggling just to live each day regardless of what those struggles are.      
Going through a major traumatic event often becomes a life changing experience for many people.   Since 2010, our holidays, & our lives in general have never been the same-   as the onset of OUR nightmare began just 2 weeks before Thanksgiving of 2010.   Our holidays that year were spent with a child in a coma, seriously ill  & not knowing if he’ll ever regain consciousness.

Today, 3 years after Isaiah suffered his medical trauma….. I’m thankful for surviving these same situations & having my family stay together even when we had nothing to share but love & hope…. I’m thankful for the overwhelming hope my children & I had during these days- which without we may have never been led to the road to regaining our lives back.  I’m thankful for our son’s slowly improving health, even though we’ve faced, & will continue to be faced with many surgical & medical obstacles.   I’m thankful for each day….
